We are delighted to announce that the 32nd Annual Cat ‘n Fiddle Charity Golf invitational PROUDLY PRESENTED BY OMEGA PROPERTIES, will take place on August 31st, 2026. We are thrilled to return to Lynx Ridge Golf Club for the second year in a row, and we warmly invite you to join us for this special day!
As a not-for-profit event all in support of Hospice Calgary, we rely on the love and support of our highly valued and diverse community, vendors, and friends. Thanks to all the past generosity, we have raised nearly $300,000 over the past three years alone, and this year we have set another impressive goal to raise $125,000 but we will only get there with your help! Planning is already under way with our amazing committee including CPGA member Kevin Houde, as we work to make this our best year to date.
We run the day a little differently than most tournaments as it is bit larger than normal. While you will still play in your own foursome, we pair each group with another to create an eight-player starting unit (while still playing independently on each hole with your respective foursome). If you have a preferred foursome that you would like to be paired with, please let us know as we will do our best to accommodate. This format allows us to host more golfers and increase our impact.
Buses are available from the Cat ‘n Fiddle Pub to Lynx Ridge Golf Club should you wish to use this service.
This amazing day is filled with prize contests on every hole; we also have vehicles or large cash prizes on all five par 3’s. With an increased number of participants, the round runs slightly longer than usual but you will be fed, refreshed and entertained throughout the whole day leaving you with an experience that is unforgettable. Remember this is all for charity!
EARLY BIRD DRAW: Register and pay for your team by June 30th and you will be entered into a draw for a 65” LCD TV.

Our Story and hospice calgary
Formally a funeral home, The Cat ‘n Fiddle was born in the spring of 1992. The original owner thought it would be fun to get a bunch of patrons together and form a little tournament. This had evolved into a true charity tournament when Stuart McAllister and his family took over in 2000. Stuart chose to support the neighboring Rosedale Hospice, seeing the value in what they do for the community and even more importantly experiencing how a Hospice helped his own family.
Fast forward to 2012, Stephen Gillette acquired The Cat ’n Fiddle. After a near death experience in 2011, he looked more in depth into what Hospice Calgary offers the community. Agreeing with Stuart’s assessment, the support of The Cat ’n Fiddle charity events were kept in their direction. Since 2012, we have proudly raised over $1,000,000 and look forward to our best year yet!
Hospice Calgary supports children, teens and adults coping with life-threatening illness, sudden or expected death. The Rosedale Hospice is Hospice Calgary’s seven bed facility where cancer patients and their loved ones can focus on quality of life at the end of life. It is a quiet, peaceful home where patients are cared for in a supportive environment. Rosedale Hospice offers a life affirming alternative to hospitalization or dying at home, focusing on quality of life.
